Expert tape-machine help when you need a clear next move.

Phone consulting gives owners, studios, and technicians experienced machine-specific guidance without waiting for an on-site service visit. It is best suited to well-defined questions, guided observations, planning, and safe tests.

Schedule a consultation
01Good uses

Bring the right problem to the call.

A consultation can help organize symptoms, identify useful observations, review setup and calibration plans, discuss a repair strategy, or provide a technical second opinion. Manuals, schematics, photos, recordings, and prior service notes can make the time more productive.

The initial consultation includes up to ten minutes of basic pre-call review. Extensive manual or schematic research, document analysis, or preparation beyond that allowance is quoted separately before it is performed.

  • Guided troubleshooting
  • Setup and calibration planning
  • Repair strategy and next-step decisions
  • Technical second opinions
02Pricing & scheduling

A clear minimum with controlled additional time.

The initial $60 covers up to 30 minutes and is prepaid after the request is accepted. Additional time is $30 per started 15 minutes, equivalent to $120 per hour.

Additional time is used only with your approval. After reviewing the request for fit, Reel Service Works will reply with payment instructions and scheduling options. The appointment is confirmed once the initial payment is received.

03Safety boundary

Remote guidance has practical limits.

A phone consultation cannot guarantee a diagnosis or repair. It depends on the available information, the machine’s behavior, the caller’s tools and experience, and whether an appropriate observation can be made safely.

If a procedure is unsafe, likely to damage the machine, or impractical without direct inspection, the session will stop at that boundary. Bench or on-location service may be the responsible next step.

Common questions

Before we begin.

Is the initial consultation prepaid?

Yes. After the request is reviewed and accepted, payment instructions are sent for the $60 minimum. Payment confirms the scheduled call.

What should I send before the call?

Include the manufacturer, model, symptoms, prior work, available manuals or schematics, photos or recordings, test equipment, time zone, and the outcome you want.

Will you tell me how to perform any repair?

Only observations or procedures appropriate to the caller’s experience, equipment, and safety can be discussed. Unsafe or impractical work will be deferred to direct service.

Can a consultation guarantee the fault will be found?

No. Remote guidance cannot guarantee a diagnosis or repair, but it can help narrow the problem, avoid unproductive work, and define a sensible next step.
