A large studio transport, a portable deck, and a plug-in circuit card should not follow the same service route. Work is planned around the equipment’s size, accessibility, condition, and diagnostic needs.

On-location service is available in Memphis and considered throughout the Mid-South for large machines and studio transports. Keeping a large deck installed avoids unnecessary handling and allows evaluation of its power, wiring, monitoring, and operating environment.
Access, stairs, parking, working space, studio schedule, and the machine’s present condition should be described before a visit is arranged. Travel beyond the immediate region is considered according to the machine, required work, timing, and logistics.
Smaller machines require an appointment first.
Portable and consumer machines may be accepted for local drop-off after the model, symptoms, condition, and service goal have been reviewed. An appointment protects the machine from an unnecessary trip and confirms that appropriate time and space are available.
Reel Service Works is not presented as a walk-in storefront. Do not bring equipment to a location without explicit drop-off instructions.
Ship approved components—not complete machines.
Specific removable cards, control assemblies, and power supplies may be accepted from anywhere in the United States after prior approval. The review first determines whether the component can be evaluated meaningfully away from the complete machine.
Complete tape machines are not accepted by shipment. Their weight, fragile mechanisms, alignment requirements, and packaging risk make unapproved shipping inappropriate.

Can I drop off a machine without an appointment?
No. All drop-offs require prior review and a confirmed appointment.
Will you travel outside the Mid-South?
Travel beyond the region is considered for suitable projects based on the equipment, required work, schedule, and travel logistics.
Can I mail a complete portable deck?
No. Complete machines are not accepted by shipment, including portable decks. Only specific approved components may be shipped.
